KanWork Stay @Home: CERITA KAMI (OUR STORY) - Siri 58a

Siri 58a: CHE
Thursday 25 June, 2020 Hajah Nik Mariam binti Nik Abdullah returned to “rahmatullah” in peace. Inna lillahi wa inna ilahi rajiun. Thank you all for the doas and condolences. With a big heart, she is “Che” to all her seven children and their spouses, siblings, relatives and friends.
Che had always been sensitive to others’ needs. She often reminded us to do our best to help others; “Sampaikan hajat orang, Allah akan sampaikan hajat kita.” She encouraged, supported and blessed her family involvement in KanWork. All her children are KanWork volunteers and life members. Similarly, a couple of her son/daughter in-laws, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She attended many
KanWork activities.
Che’s last days were under the MCO (Movement Control Order). Her follow up to an April 2020 appointment at a hospital had to be postponed to July 2020. Too late!
Although her children are in the Klang Valley, most were not able to visit her regularly during the earlier MCO (further, we did not want to take risk with her comorbidity to the pandemic). During one of the visits, I was stopped at a road block by a police. He let me go after explaining why I was on the road. Che understood that we were in her words, under “wabak”.
Che’s funeral arrangement e.g. solat jenazah etc. observed the SOP. Nevertheless, with Allah’s grace, all went well. Allahyarhamah was laid to rest in peace next to Allahyarham Haji Muhamad (Ayah). Under the closed border restriction, three of their grandchildren abroad still cannot be home since Che demise.
Semoga Allah cucuri Rahmat ke atas roh Allahyarhamah Che and Allahyarham Ayah dan menempatkan mereka dalam golongan mereka yang beriman.
Maznah Muhamad
